UK Monster Truck Shows

Next up: Monster Truck Motorfest Cheshire 2026 — Sat 3 – Sun 4 Oct 2026, Cheshire.

Monster trucks are one of the UK's most underrated family days out: trucks on tractor tyres racing head to head, pulling wheelies and flattening scrap cars a few hundred feet from where you stand. Most outdoor events run passenger ride trucks all day too, so the kids can actually get aboard one.

Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire is the scene's home. Flame and Thunder closes the outdoor season at Halloween with monster trucks, jet cars and fireworks, the Festival of Power brings them back at Easter, and the UK Monster Truck Nationals in late August is the big one, with eight trucks including Big Pete, Grim Reaper and Swamp Thing racing head to head. Through autumn the touring Motorfest weekends take five trucks to showgrounds and racecourses around the country, and in early 2027 the official Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live tour brings real trucks, including the legendary Bigfoot, indoors at the O2, the OVO Hydro, Birmingham and Manchester.

We only list events where monster trucks genuinely headline, with the date taken from the organiser's own page and the venue postcode so the near-me search works properly. These shows sell out and move more than any other category we cover, so book through the organiser link on each listing rather than chancing the gate.

Monster Truck Shows: your questions answered

When is the next monster truck show in the UK?

Monster truck events cluster from October to April: touring showground weekends in autumn, indoor arena tours in winter and spring, and Santa Pod's fixtures at Halloween, Easter and late August. Put your postcode into the near-me search to see the closest upcoming show.

What is the UK Monster Truck Nationals?

The country's premier monster truck festival, held each year on a Sunday in late August at Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire. The 2026 edition fielded eight trucks, including Big Pete, Grim Reaper, Swamp Thing and Podzilla, in head to head racing and freestyle. The 2027 date had not been published as of October 2026.

Is Monster Jam coming to the UK?

Monster Jam has visited the UK before but had no announced UK dates as of October 2026. The official arena tour for 2027 is Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, which brings real trucks including Bigfoot to The O2, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, the Utilita Arena Birmingham and the AO Arena Manchester between January and April 2027.

Are monster truck shows suitable for young children?

Yes, they are built for families, with funfairs, character appearances and ride trucks alongside the main arena at most outdoor events. They are genuinely loud, though: take ear defenders for young children, especially at indoor arena shows.

Can you ride in a monster truck at these events?

Usually, yes. Most outdoor events run a passenger ride truck through the day for an extra charge on top of admission, and Santa Pod's fixtures also run mini monster truck drives for children. Check the organiser's page before travelling if a ride is the main attraction for your crew.

Do monster truck shows sell out?

The big fixtures regularly do, especially arena shows and the Halloween fireworks events. Book ahead through the organiser link on each listing, and use that same link to confirm the event before travelling a long way.
