UK Truck Shows 2026 & 2027

Next up: Truck It Truck Show 2026 — Sat 15 – Sun 16 Aug 2026, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The UK truck show season runs from spring to late October, and the Truckfest series is its backbone. Truckfest Original, going since 1983, is the flagship, held at the Newark and Nottinghamshire Showground on 3 and 4 October 2026 with the national trucking awards, manufacturer stands and two days of show trucks. The regional rounds cover most of the map: Truckfest South West at Shepton Mallet from 29 August, Truckfest North West at Knutsford from 12 September, with Lincoln, Thatcham, Malvern and Edinburgh dates through spring and summer. If you want racing with your chrome, Convoy in the Park at Donington combines British Truck Racing Championship rounds with up to 1,000 show trucks in the infield each early August, and the championship wraps up with Trucks and Fireworks in Kent on 31 October 2026.

The independents are where a lot of the character is. The Retro Truck Show at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, on 5 and 6 September 2026 is dedicated to working classics from 1971 to 2001, over 300 restored lorries with museum entry included in the ticket. TruckNess at the Black Isle Showground near Inverness on 22 August celebrates Highland haulage and pulled more than 7,000 visitors in 2025. And some of the best trucking events cost nothing to watch: the East Coast Truckers Charity Convoy on August bank holiday Sunday sends around 100 decorated lorries from Norwich to Pleasurewood Hills with children from local charities on board, and crowds line the whole route.

A few practical notes from experience. Showgrounds mean grass parking, so check the forecast and pack accordingly. Horn contests are exactly as loud as you would imagine, so ear defenders for small children are not overkill. Most gates and food vans take cards now but a bit of cash still moves the queue along. Every show below is checked weekly, you can search by postcode, and the Thursday Weekly Runsheet email flags what is on near you before the weekend.

Truck Shows: your questions answered

When is Truckfest 2026?

Truckfest Original, the flagship of the series, runs 3 and 4 October 2026 at the Newark and Nottinghamshire Showground. Regional 2026 rounds include Truckfest South West at Shepton Mallet from 29 August and Truckfest North West at Knutsford from 12 September, with Lincoln, Thatcham, Malvern, County Durham and Edinburgh rounds through the season.

What is the biggest truck show in the UK?

By truck numbers, Convoy in the Park at Donington Park claims up to 1,000 show trucks alongside British Truck Racing Championship rounds. Truckfest Original is the longest established, running since 1983, and carries the national trucking awards.

Are any truck shows free to attend?

Charity convoys are free to watch from the roadside, including the East Coast Truckers Charity Convoy from Norwich to Pleasurewood Hills on 30 August 2026. The Road Transport Expo (RTX) is also free but it is a trade show and requires advance registration.

What is the Retro Truck Show?

A show dedicated to classic working trucks from 1971 to 2001, held at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, on 5 and 6 September 2026. More than 300 restored and preserved lorries attend, and entry to the museum's collection is included in the ticket.

Can I camp at a truck show?

Many two-day shows offer weekend camping, including Convoy in the Park at Donington. Check the individual event listing, as camping usually needs booking in advance and sells out at the bigger shows.

Are truck shows suitable for children?

Yes, most are family events with funfairs and trade stalls alongside the trucks, and drivers are generally happy to show kids a cab when asked. Bring ear defenders for younger children, as horn competitions and racing are genuinely loud.
